THE REAL REALITY OF DESIGN COSTS…

Let’s be honest! You will not find costs listed on most, if any, interior designer’s websites. This is because there can be a very broad range of costs involved.

For example; I have had clients that ordered the same size dining table. One cost $3,500 and the other cost $25,000. In our initial consultation we will discuss your budget. No products will be ordered until we have your approval and signature.

My design fee starts at $10,000 for a smaller scale project. For large scale projects, such as a remodel or new construction, the design fee can range from $80-150,000. The average timeline for a remodel to a new build can take anywhere from 12 months to 2 years.

After our initial consultation, you will receive an estimation of hours and costs to complete your project. If there are additions or changes to the project then the hours will increase.

As for how much it costs to furnish your home, that varies widely depending on your wishes.

Kitchens: 35,000 - 350,000 Cabinetry, Appliances, Flooring, Window Coverings, AV, Electrical, Plumbing, Tile, Stone, Paint, Slab, Millwork, Contractor.

Bathrooms: 20,000 - 275,000 Cabinetry, Appliances, Flooring, Window Coverings, AV, Electrical, Plumbing, Tile, Stone, Paint, Slab, Cabinetry, Contractor.

Living Rooms: 25,000 - 200,000 Flooring, Furniture, Lighting, Paint, AV, Window Coverings, Millwork, Slab, Cabinetry, Contractor.

Bedrooms: 15,000 - 150,000 - Flooring, Furniture, AV, Lighting, Paint, Window Coverings, Cabinetry, Millwork, Contractor.

As you can see, design is a luxury, as there are a lot of aspects in order to complete your vision.
